Last year, the G.A.B. launched a “Back to Basics” approach to election administration education using webinar programming. The second year of the series, “Building on the Basics,” begins with a training webinar focused on election administration training for school district clerks. County and municipal clerks may also find the information useful when working with school district clerks during special or referenda elections.
We recently released our “Building on the Basics” election administration webinar training series schedule. Due to positive feedback from county and municipal clerks regarding this method of training, we have developed a new webinar training series that focuses on the Statewide Voter Registration System.
As we prepare for the 2014 elections, and in an effort to maximize our resources and better serve our clerk-partners, we are surveying county and municipal clerks to determine your needs for election administration and Statewide Voter Registration System training later this year and in early 2014.
As we announced in July, in an effort to serve our election partners more effectively, the Government Accountability Board has developed a new Elections Administration Training webinar series in lieu of a new series of WisLine program teleconferences in 2012-2013. The first webinar in the new series, “Preparing for the August Partisan Primary,” was conducted as part of our “Back to Basics” education and training initiative and provided important information on counting votes, proof of residence and signing the poll list.
