Did seven Wisconsin counties run out of ballots on April 1, 2025?

No. This claim is false.  There were seven polling places – all in the City of Milwaukee – that ran out of ballots late in the day on April 1, 2025.  The City of Milwaukee Election Commission replenished ballot supplies at each of the polling places.  Milwaukee reported that no voters were turned away and that all voters in line at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day were permitted to cast a ballot.  The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) does not have a statutory role in the printing and distribution of ballots.
