A new version of WisVote was installed on May 8, 2017. This new version, 2018 Sprint 1, includes several bug fixes reported by clerks. The following items are resolved with this update:

  • Previously, when adding a new address in WisVote, if the system could not determine the address location, the pin used to appear off the coast of Africa (at 0° latitude,0° longitude). Now WisVote will place the pin in Lake Michigan, making it easier for clerks to manually place the pin in the correct location (on the rooftop).
  • EDR Postcard Reporting was moved from WEDCS into WisVote. Further information and instructions on the new process will be provided in a separate clerk communication.
  • The formatting was fixed on several letters in WisVote, including proper printing of the clerk return address and the voter address.
  • The document type ‘Safe at Home Affidavit’ is now available for Confidential Voters in WisVote. For more information on the Safe at Home program, see the clerk communication here:
  • WisVote users were unable to add tasks to voter records, including the automatic tasks that WisVote creates when sending the 30-day notice letter. This has now been fixed. Users can see upcoming tasks that are due from the Voter Snapshot page in WisVote.
  • When clicking on the name in the Absentee Ballot associated views in WisVote, the system would open the Absentee Application instead of the Absentee Ballot. This has now been corrected.
  • Data Entry role is now able to enter Election Worker Training records in WisVote. This can be used to help clerks manage the training that is given to their Election Workers.
