On behalf of the staff and Board members of the Government Accountability Board, I hope 2015 has started well for you, complete with full slates of candidates and a smooth review of nomination papers. It has been the G.A.B.’s custom to compile and share an annual list of significant agency accomplishments, and the 2014 list is attached for your information. It was another busy year of conducting elections, training, implementing legislative changes and court decisions, and special projects.
As we often say, the G.A.B. considers itself to be a partner of all local election officials in Wisconsin. While we have a statewide perspective and concern for consistent and fair application of the election laws, we understand and value the patient and diligent work that each of you perform on a daily basis to serve your voters, candidates and communities. We appreciate all that you do to conduct elections, provide feedback, respond to G.A.B. requests, and implement training at the local level. By sharing your expertise and experiences you help to constantly improve Wisconsin elections.
The activities described on the attached list reflect accomplishments we have achieved together as they would not have been possible without your help. We appreciate our ongoing partnership, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in 2015.
