Poll Workers & Observers

Wisconsin’s elections are highly decentralized, with elections conducted at the local level by over 1,900 local election officials in 72 counties and 1,851 municipalities. Poll Workers perform a very important public service by enhancing the high quality and integrity of Wisconsin's elections. Observers are an important part of Wisconsin's open and transparent elections process.

Poll Workers

A poll worker is anyone who assists with the conduction of an election and includes Chief Inspectors, Election Inspectors, Greeters, Tabulators, and High School Poll Workers.

Election Observers

The State of Wisconsin permits individuals to observe voting and the election administration processes that occur through out an election cycle. There are specific guidelines that observers must adhere to.
