Both meetings will be held at the Wisconsin Elections Commission's Board Room, 212 East Washington Avenue, 3rd Floor, Madison, WI  53703.

There will be a Voting Equipment Review Panel meeting and public demonstration of Election Systems and Software’s (ES&S) EVS 5220 and 5320 voting systems at the above times and place. This system is being tested and considered for approval by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

This system is a modification of the previously approved EVS 5200 and 5300 voting systems.  The WEC is testing five pieces of ES&S equipment:

  • DS200 (polling place electronic scanner and tabulator)
  • DS450 (mid-size central count location electronic scanner and tabulator)
  • DS850 (central count location electronic scanner and tabulator)
  • ExpressVote (ballot-marking device)
  • AutoMARK (ballot-marking device)

The Wisconsin Voting Equipment Review Panel will meet at the above time and place to view a demonstration of the system and provide feedback of the system to WEC staff.

Under Administrative Code Chapter 7, the Commission may use a panel of local election officials and electors to assist in the review of the voting system. The WEC is asking the Voting Equipment Review Panel to serve this purpose. Input from the review panel will be made part of staff’s recommendation that will be submitted to the Commission for consideration at its June 20, 2017, meeting.

The public demonstration and Voting Equipment Review Panel meeting are open to the public.
