Special meeting of the Government Accountability Board to consider challenges to candidates and certify ballot access for the May 8 Recall Election.

The Board unanimously denied challenges to the "fake Democrat" candidates in the recall primaries. See news release here explaining the Board's decision.

Attached below are the Board materials and the challenge/complaint filed against "protest candidates" recruited by the Republican Party of Wisconsin. The Board will consider the challenge at this meeting. The deadline for replies to the challenge is 4:30 p.m. Monday. 5.05 (6a) and 19.85 (1) (h)    The Board’s deliberations on requests for advice under the ethics code, lobbying law, and campaign finance law shall be in closed session.
19.85 (1) (g)    The Board may confer with legal counsel concerning litigation strategy.
19.851    The Board’s deliberations concerning investigations of any violation of the ethics code, lobbying law, and campaign finance law shall be in closed session.
19.85 (1) (c)    The Board may consider performance evaluation data of a public employee over which it exercises responsibility.
