Type A Notice of April 6, 2021 Special Election 13th Senate District

To: The Clerks of Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Washington, and Waukesha Counties

A copy of Executive Order #100, the Governor’s Order calling a Special Election in the 13th State Senate District is attached. The Governor’s Order does not have to be published.  You must notify each municipal clerk within the 13th Senate District of the Special Election Order.

The attached Type A notice must be published as soon as possible. A sample Official Election Ballot and Special Primary Ballot for Partisan Office are forthcoming. The filing deadline for nomination papers is 5:00 p.m., on Friday, January 8, 2020. Certification of candidates for the Special Election or Primary ballot will be made after the statutory deadline for challenging nomination papers has passed. We will email the certificate of nomination after, if the Ethics Commission has certified by that time that all candidates have filed their Statements of Economic Interests and barring any challenges to nomination papers.
