NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to an executive order by the Governor of the State of Wisconsin, dated May 14, 2024, that on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, a Special Election will be held in the several towns, villages, cities, wards and election districts of the 8th Congressional District in the State of Wisconsin, consisting of those parts of Brown, Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Shawano Waupaca, and Winnebago Counties, as described in Chapter 3 of the Wisconsin Statutes, at which the following officer is to be elected:

A REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS, EIGHTH DISTRICT to fill the vacancy, caused by the resignation of the Honorable Mike Gallagher, for the remainder of the term which expires on January 3, 2025.

NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the earliest date for circulating nomination papers is Tuesday, May 14, 2024, and the deadline for filing nomination papers and declarations of candidacy for the Special Election will be 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, in the office of the Wisconsin Elections Commission. The Special Primary, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. A description of the boundaries of the 8th Congressional District is set out in Wis. Stat. § 3.18.
