1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 9, 2014

There will be a PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION of Election Systems and Software’s EVS 5.2.0.0. voting system at the above time and place. This equipment is being tested and considered for approval by the Government Accountability Board.

This is a new voting system.  EVS 5.2.0.0. runs on Electionware election management software. The G.A.B. is testing four pieces of Election Systems and Software equipment:

  • DS 200 (polling place electronic scanner and tabulator)
  • DS 850 (central count location electronic scanner and tabulator)
  • AutoMARK (ballot-marking device)
  • ExpressVote (universal voting system)

The Wisconsin Election Administration Council (WI-EAC) will also meet at the above time and place to view a demonstration of the system.

Under Administrative Code Chapter 7, the Board may use a panel of local election officials and electors to assist in the review of the voting system. The Board is asking the WI-EAC, created pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 15.607, to serve this purpose. WI-EAC’s input will be made part of staff’s recommendation that will be submitted to the Board for consideration at its August 26, 2014, meeting.

The demonstration and WI-EAC meeting are open to the public.
