A copy of Executive Order #46, the Governor’s Order calling a Special Election in the 7th Congressional District, is attached. The Governor’s Order does not have to be published. You must notify each municipal clerk within the 7th Congressional District of the Special Election Order. The attached Type A notice, which is the order issued by the Elections Commission, must be published as soon as possible.
Sample Primary and Election Ballots and Sample Type B notices are forthcoming.
The filing deadline for nomination papers is 5:00 p.m., on Monday, December 2, 2019. Certification of candidates for the Special Election or Primary ballot will be made after the statutory deadline for challenging nomination papers has passed. We will email the certificate of nomination at 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, December 5, 2019, barring any challenges to nomination papers.
