The Wisconsin Elections Commission has received an award from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) for Outstanding Innovations in Elections for the Securing WisVote cybersecurity training program.
On behalf of the Commission and our outstanding team of trainers and elections specialists who produced the ‘Securing WisVote’ series, we are honored to receive this award. This training series is just one of the many steps we took in 2018 to secure our systems and ensure the integrity of Wisconsin elections.
For more information, please see our news release and the EAC’s news release about the award.
A huge thank you to each of our local election officials for your willingness to embrace your role in elections security. Each one of our 1,850 municipal election officials and 72 county election officials is a critical strength to the security of elections in our state. The WEC staff is committed to continuing to provide election security training and support to our local partners, but we need your help to ensure our plan is meeting the needs of local election officials. We are seeking the participation of local election officials in three clerk feedback workgroups. Please consider applying for the committees to provide your perspective on security, training, or communications. More information on the committees and applications can be found here: https://elections.wi.gov/node/6436
Thank you again for all you do to keep election in Wisconsin secure, transparent and fair.
