The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) staff is excited to announce the municipalities who will be participating in the Badger Book borrowing program for the 2019 February and April elections.

This program gives municipalities who have expressed interest in electronic poll books the opportunity to test the equipment during an election before making a purchase.  The municipalities will attend an in-person training session at the WEC office to learn about the Badger Book hardware and software, how to set up and use the equipment during an election, and how to train their election inspectors on the Badger Books.  By participating, municipalities will be able to compare the Election Day experience between polling places using the Badger Books and those using traditional paper poll books.

This is also a great opportunity for other municipalities to see Badger Books in action if you wish to visit any of the sites listed below.  Municipalities interested in learning more about Badger Book should please contact the Wisconsin Elections Commission HelpDesk at (608) 261-2028 or elections@wi.gov.

Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in Badger Book!
