The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) approved Elections Systems and Software (ES&S) voting system EVS 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 for use in Wisconsin at its June 20, 2017 meeting. The approval was contingent on the revision of several voter notification and instruction screens on two pieces of voting equipment included in this system. The Commission also instructed WEC staff to develop a protocol for the testing and certification of the ExpressLink component that was not included in the original certification, and to ensure that the ExpressLink component satisfied the testing requirements. The screen revisions have been completed and are ready for deployment to voting equipment used in both EVS 18.104.22.168/22.214.171.124 and EVS 126.96.36.199/188.8.131.52 systems. In addition, the ExpressLink has been tested and is now approved for purchase and use in Wisconsin.
Please see the attached memo for images and explanations of the screen revisions and a report on the results of the ExpressLink testing campaign. If you have any questions, please contact the Help Desk at @email or (608) 261-2028. Thank you.
