WisVote Outage – Thursday, November 14, 2:00 p.m. – November 15, 5:00 p.m.

Due to scheduled maintenance and upgrades, WisVote and MyVote will be unavailable starting at 2:00 p.m. on November 14. During this time MyVote will also be unavailable. Visitors to the MyVote website should expect to see a maintenance message directing them to contact the Wisconsin Elections Commission HelpDesk or contact their clerk for immediate assistance. We expect to have both systems available again on November 15 and no later than November 17. WEC staff will send an email when WisVote and MyVote are back in service.  

Election Security Subgrant Application Deadline – Friday, November 15

Applications for the Election Security Subgrant are due on Friday, November 15. The subgrant is intended to provide funding to municipalities to get into baseline compliance in these three areas:

1) Computer hardware and/or software to meet minimum security recommendations
2) Professional IT support capable of maintaining minimum security recommendations
3) Travel and staff costs associated with Election Security training

The application consists of submitting a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) where the jurisdiction must answer four yes or no questions and certify that they will use the funds to meet baseline cybersecurity standards. Applications should be submitted to the WEC HelpDesk at [email protected], mailed to the WEC office, or faxed to (608) 267-0500. A confirmation of grant compliance is due on January 28, 2020.
