WisVote IT Lead Sarah Whitt has accepted a position with the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) and is leaving the Wisconsin Elections Commission after a distinguished career in Wisconsin elections. Many of you know Sarah from her numerous presentations at clerk conferences or have worked directly with her to resolve issues in the Statewide Voter Registration System or WisVote. Sarah will continue working with Wisconsin both in her new role with ERIC and on special projects with the WEC. Her last day of full-time state employment is Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
Sarah has served the State of Wisconsin for more than 17 years, mostly with the State Elections Board, Government Accountability Board and Wisconsin Elections Commission. She was an integral part of the initial development and implementation of SVRS as well as the transition to WisVote and has worked tirelessly to continue improving the system. She has been part of every significant project and report related to voter data and the state’s voter registration system. Sarah also represented the State of Wisconsin on several multi-state committees and projects helping to advance election policies and procedures nationwide.
Her expertise will be missed at the WEC. Although we’re glad Sarah isn’t going far, she will no longer be the daily presence that she was for so long. We very much appreciate her contributions to the State of Wisconsin and wish her all the best in this next phase of her career.
