Candidate Lists

The most current lists are attached below.  These lists reflect the ballot access decisions of the Government Accountability Board at its June 10, 2014 meeting.  

The Excel spreadsheet (first docement in the list below) contains a list of all candidates for the 2014 Partisan Primary and General Election, with contact information based on their campaign committees and declaration of candidacy forms. This document combines information from the Campaign Finance Information System (CFIS) and the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS). Federal candidates are not required to file campaign finance reports with the G.A.B., but their campaign information should be available through the Federal Elections Commission website: Candidates with a filing status listed of "Approved" will appear on the 2014 Partisan Primary ballots. Candidates with a filing status listed as "Deferred - Independent" will appear on the General Election ballots.  Approved write-in candidates will not appear on the ballot but their votes will be tallied and listed separately on the canvass. 

Statewide Referendum

There will be a statewide referendum on the ballot at the General Election on November 4, 2014.  The referendum is the result of 2013 Enrolled Joint Resolution 1, which is attached below.

Offices to be Elected

State offices to be elected include Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Representative in Congress, State Senator (odd-numbered districts) Representatives to the Assembly (all districts).  County offices up for election are Sheriff, Clerk of Circuit Court and Coroner (where applicable). County candidates file with their County Clerk or the Milwaukee County Election Commission.

Deadlines for Getting on the Ballot

The first day to circulate nomination papers was April 15, 2014.  The deadline to file nomination papers and other ballot access documents was June 2, 2014.  Learn more here about getting on the ballot.

Notification of Noncandidacy

A list of officials who have filed a Notification of Non-Candidacy indicating they will not seek reelection is attached below.  The deadline for filing this notification is May 23, 2014.
