Upcoming Core Courses
This course is required of new Municipal Clerks before they can serve as an election official. Once they have taken the 3-hour course, they are certified for the 2018-2019 term. They will need to obtain another three hours of approved election training - for a total of six hours - before December 31, 2019 to recertify for the 2020-2021 term. All Municipal Clerks are required to take and report to the Wisconsin Elections Commission six hours of election training every 2-year term to maintain their certification.
Core training is (unless otherwise noted) for:
- New municipal clerks
- Municipal clerks who lost their certification (see Election Officials' Training Table for additional training requirements)
- Certified municipal clerks (once per 2-year term)
