Baseline Course and Online Training Information

 Baseline Courses

This course is required of new Chief Inspectors before they can serve as an election official.  Once they have taken the 3-hour Baseline course, they are certified to conduct elections in the 2018-2019 term.  They will need to obtain another three hours of approved election training - for a total of six hours - by December 31, 2019 to recertify for the 2020-2021 term.    All Chief Inspectors need six hours of approved election training every two years to maintain their certification.   The Baseline CIT class is now available in the WEC Learning Center.  Please see the July 30, 2018 memo in Recent Clerk Communications for more details and information about accessing the Learning Center:  https://elections.wi.gov/node/5973.

Baseline training is (unless otherwise noted) for:

  • New (never-before-certified) chief inspectors
  • Chief inspectors who lost their certification

Please note that attendance at Baseline training by currently-certified chief inspectors will not count toward recertification hours - unless otherwise noted in the class description on the registration form.

If you have problems registering, please contact Allison Coakley:  allison.coakley@wi.gov or (608) 261-2033.
