Wisconsin Election Data Collection System Training
The GAB-190 Post Election Statistics and Reporting Form is the way the Government Accountability Board (G.A.B.) gathers election data for each election. A GAB-190 must be filled out for each reporting unit in a municipality. A reporting unit is the ward or group of wards that represent how a municipality reports post election results to their county clerk. The GAB-190 must be filled out for all regularly scheduled elections and any special elections that have a state contest on the ballot.
All GAB-190s must be entered into on online program, the Wisconsin Election Data Collection (WEDCS) within the 30 days following each election. “Online” does not mean emailing a copy of the GAB-190 to the G.A.B. Like the SVRS, the WEDCS can only run on computers that have high-speed internet access. All municipalities that use the SVRS should have access to WEDCS and will enter their GAB-190(s) into the program. Reliers with high-speed internet can get access to WEDCS by reading the below training documents and contact the GAB Help Desk for access. Reliers who do not have access to the WEDCS need to mail or email a copy of their GAB-190 to their Provider for entry into the WEDCS. The G.A.B. will receive all GAB-190s through the WEDCS and does not need a paper copy mailed, emailed, or faxed to their office.
